Pretty sure every one of those printers I saw sold are in a tip somewhere now. As a bonus, you could leave out those horrible yellow MIB dots that identify a document’s source. I suppose because the printer manufacturers haven’t quite crossed the line into utter dickholery. They’re pretty close to it, and well past, “not cool”, but perhaps not yet enough to drive someone to hack up a new control board. One possible caveat would be, have the cartridges themselves refuse to print after their onboard chip says they’re empty. Since many inkjet carts also have the print head built in.

If Print Spooler keeps stopping on your Windows 10 PC, you might be able to fix this problem by uninstalling the printers you don’t use. Select Remove driver and driver package and click OK to remove the printer altogether. In the Devices and Printers section, select the printer you want to remove and click Print server properties. You will need to uninstall the other unnecessary printers you might still have installed.

If the Lexmark printer’s amber light is blinking then you should understand that there are some hardware issues. Hardware issues can be of different types such as paper jam, cartridge jam, cartridges dried out, improper fix of cartridges etc. So, you need to fix all physical error first and then head towards printings. I solved this by downloading HP driver executive, then I opened it with Driversol Drivers Winrar instead of executing the program. I’ve extracted the files in a folder, then with device manager managed to update the missing drivers. A nightmare that lasted 3 weeks, finally over.
Authentication Options
While your Lexmark printer is powered on, open the cover of the printer and remove the ink cartridges. Then remove the cover above the rollers on the tallest part of the printer. Make sure that both your computer and your Lexmark printer are connected to your network. At least Lexmark announces it when you go to download the latest firmware from their website driver solution now. Find out and download the firmware version that is closest to the manufacturing date (ours is manufactured in 2017 so I downloaded LW63.SB.P638 which was released in June 2018). So, instead of ordering a new toner cartridge from the official website which would cost us A$340.51, we decided to get a bit outdated-looking but still OEM one from eBay for only A$149 . Information in this article applies to the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 8 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional.
